New or visitng?

Read about our church or fill out a connection card!

We know it’s hard to visit a new church. Hopefully, this page will help you be a little more comfortable visiting us!

The Village Church is a place where people can meet Jesus,  engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts, and use them for God's glory. Join us for our Sunday services!

What to Expect

FAQs

What does everyone wear?
We dress pretty casually, so wear normal clothes. No need to dress up (unless you want to!)–our pastors preach in jeans and a button-up shirt, sometimes a t-shirt.
What version of the Bible do we use?
We mostly preach out of the ESV translation of the Bible, but a lot of people bring whatever translation Bible they have. We don’t have a set version of the Bible that we require!
What kind of music do you sing?
Our music is a mixture of some familiar hymns and new songs. We love music that speaks strong theological truth. Some songs may be unfamiliar, new, or really old. Still, God is glorified by our joyful noise!
What is there for my kids?
We have a TON of kids–meaning we’re used to noisy kids and fussy babies. In fact, we love it! We dismiss the kids for kids’ church mid-way through the service and have a nursery for the whole length of the service for the littlest ones. We also have a nursing mothers’ room!
Where do I go when I get there?
Enter through the front double doors of the church, and you’ll be greeted with a friendly smile and a chance to grab some coffee. We also have a table at the front with extra Bibles (which you can have!) and other good books/resources.
When are your services?
Our Sunday mornings start with Bible study and fellowship (for all ages at 9:15 AM) before transitioning over to a time of worship to our great God (at 10:30 AM). During this time we exalt our Lord through singing, reading the Word, prayer, and preaching.

We are different than many churches around

See what God is doing in our Church! Our church is a revitalization of a centuries-old church. We are a new work in an old church! We have a long way to go still, but we have seen God do incredible things! And he's still doing incredible things! But there's more work to do! Come be a part of what God is doing here at The Village Church!

We are a smaller congregation, but we emphasize strong relationships with other church members and a few important aspects of every Christian’s life. We operate with three simple convictions (that inform the rest of what we do): (1) the sufficiency of Scripture, (2) the significance of community, and (3) the seriousness of the Great Commission.

Sufficiency of Scripture

God's Inspired Word is crucial to guiding our church. We are committed to expository preaching and teaching, fervent worship grounded in strong theological truth, and intentional discipleship centered on the goodness of the Bible. Simply put, we love the Word!

Significance of Community

Christians are not meant to be in isolation. People need people. Men need men. Women need women. And kids need kids. We love to enjoy community together, eating, playing, hanging out, studying the Word, and enjoying the blessings of our world...together!

Seriousness of the Great Commission

From mission trips to Upward Soccer to personal evangelism. We want to see the Great Commission fulfilled! This is a command, not a suggestion. We press on with the words of Christ echoing in our heads: "Go and make disciples..."
