The Village Church Soccer
The Village Church loves to reach the people in our community through the love of Jesus and the love of Soccer! Come experience this wonderful, beginner-level league!
The Village Church’s Upward Soccer league is a non-competitive, fun-filled league, perfect for beginners!
Each practice will include a small devotional for the kids to apply Christian values to soccer and life!
Games and scrimmages will focus on a fun playing field for all players and will utilize pinnies or practice jerseys to divide into equal teams, if necessary.
We aim to keep the cost minimal and offer scholarships for anyone who needs them!
Our “evaluations” take place on March 19th at 6:30 PM. (For Pre-K and K, this serves as a meet-and-greet with the coaches; for the older groups, we will play a few fun games to see how the kids do—nothing rigid or stressful!)
Practices will be on Wednesdays for grades 1st to 5th and Sundays for Pre-K and Kindergarten.
Games will occur on Sundays, beginning mid-afternoon and extending into the evening.
Everything takes place on our wonderful artificial turf soccer complex at our church!
Our Spring season will run from March 19th to May 4th; Our season-end celebration will take place on May 10th!

We need people who have a passion for the families that Upward attracts. Don’t know too much about soccer? That’s okay! If you can learn a few rules, help with players, and have a smile on your face, then you can help tremendously. We are ALWAYS in need of more volunteers!
We would love the honor of having your children as part of our Upward Soccer League. they will experience a casual, non-competitive atmosphere with plenty of beginner soccer drills and games. This league emphasizes fun, exercise, and faith. We keep it at a low cost to help cover expenses, but if you need a scholarship, please email Upward@tvcnewtown.com for more information. Scholarships are provided by the generosity of our church members and other Upward participants!
